A Symbolic Fight in a Much Bigger Battle →
But the stakes from our politicians are bigger. Planned Parenthood provides critical services to millions of American women each year. Completely agree. Their wording was deliberately vague—it seems like they want to sweep this under the rug and hope no one notices PP’s grants won’t get approved next year. At least this debacle has shown that many people DO value Planned Parenthood, despite what right-wing nutjobs would have us believe. I still stand with Planned Parenthood.

jcatgrl asked: Okay, my dad just said to me, and I quote, "They're not honest about reporting statutory rapes or performing illegal third trimester abortions. Why would they be honest about how they spend their funds?" Any help on a rebuttal?
lezgirlsrock asked: I agree fully. They've shown their hand and the *only* reason they're backing down is because of the nearly universal condemnation of their actions and the impact it was going to have on their bottom line, not because they were truly sorry. Clearly, if they could have gotten away with it, they wouldn't have changed. From now on I will continue to support PP and only PP to the...
